For Yilan travel, in addition to thinking of Luodong and the city center, the popular area of Jiaoxi will of course not be forgotten. This time, I will share the Jiaoxi one-day trip without driving itinerary achieved by using the Taiwan Haoxing package, starting from Taipei to Yilan County Jiaoxi Township for sightseeing. The entire journey is calculated from taking the bus back and forth from Taipei, and the cost for a single person is about NT$1,500 (not including the cost of buying souvenirs).
First of all, I would like to remind everyone that if you want to have a one-day trip in Jiaoxi without driving, you can soak in hot springs, buy souvenirs, eat popular food and afternoon tea in the Jiaoxi commercial district, and then add a suburban attraction.
There are not many bus schedules in the Yilan area, often one per hour. If you miss a bus, you may have to wait for 2 hours for the next attraction. You can plan a suburban attraction in advance, and the attractions within the commercial district are within walking distance.
How to get to Jiaoxi?
Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County is located next to Taipei City. The transportation stations in the area include a bus transfer station and a train station, so travelers can choose to take a train or a bus from Taipei to Jiaoxi.
The various transportation routes can be pre-arranged for 1 hour, and it is recommended to allocate 1-1.5 hours for self-driving due to high traffic jams.

Attached with highly recommended food and alternative attractions, you can copy a Jiaoxi one-day trip itinerary and change it to your own itinerary.
Jiaoxi One-day Trip 1. Linmei Panshi Trail
The first stop of my Jiaoxi one-day trip without a driving itinerary is to Linmei Panshi Trail. I have been to Wufengqi Waterfall many times before and want to switch to another natural scenery attraction in Jiaoxi.
It takes about half an hour by minibus to reach the gate of the Takming University of Science and Technology in Jiaoxi.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the gate to the entrance of the trail, and there is a restroom at the gate. If you want to walk the entire trail, it is recommended to allocate 2 hours.
You can leisurely take photos and walk. Jiaoxi’s one-day trip highly recommends this place for spring outings, but be careful of snakes if it rained the day before. I almost stepped on a snake…?
Jiaoxi One-day Trip 2. Star Onion Master Eating Sanxing Onion Pie
Take a minibus back to the “Tangweigou Hot Spring Park” station in the Jiaoxi commercial district and get off at the back of the park. If you are a little hungry, walk to the entrance of the park (front) and go to eat the delicious and unique Sanxing Onion Pie!
I introduced it before and really love it, definitely not just casually mentioning it. The next stop is afternoon tea. After filling up the “Samsung onion pie”, there is still enough stomach space for the next food.

Jiaoxi One-day Trip 3. Enjoy Time with Hotel Afternoon Tea
The price of afternoon tea is about NT$400-500, and the waiting time can be spent resting on the first floor of the hotel. We happily played games there.
The cost-performance ratio of afternoon tea is average, and you can eat cherry duck, unexpectedly delicious grilled fish, and Swiss ice cream.
How book afternoon tea?
Jiaoxi One-day Trip 4. Yuanlai Ru Chi Hot Spring
The most important feature of the Jiaoxi one-day trip is of course “soaking in hot springs”. I came to the super cheap “Yuanlai Ru Chi” personal hot spring bathhouse and soaked in hot springs. Unfortunately, I was assigned to a hot spring house with cold water that couldn’t be turned on and almost got burned.
My friend’s hot spring house was normal, and she was very satisfied.
The advantage is that it is super cheap, 50 minutes for NT$280, and the hot spring house is sufficient for a small family. After soaking in the hot springs, continue to enjoy the 10-minute super comfortable massage chair for NT$50. 😌
If it is a date or a focus on the overall design style of the store, there is a “Congcao” that uses illustration style as the theme, and the hot spring costs NT$800 per session.
Jiaoxi One-day Trip 5. Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park
Along the way to “Jiaoxi Transfer Station”, you will pass by Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park!
There are several foot-bathing pools inside the park, and I saw many people leisurely soaking their feet while playing with their phones.
There are also large Jimmy picture book dolls in the park for photo taking, which are very cute.

<See More>
I used the Taiwan Haoxing package launched before, which was more than NT$900 (excluding the Taipei-Jiaoxi bus ticket), and the cost table is estimated for reference by travelers.
Taking the bus from Taipei to Jiaoxi will only be stuck in the tunnel section, and it will not be too long.
There is a section of road before the tunnel that does not need to be squeezed into the same lane as small cars, and the journey takes about 50 minutes, which is faster than self-driving!
Conclusion of Jiaoxi One-day Trip Non-Driving Jiaoxi Itinerary
This Jiaoxi one-day trip still has time to buy souvenirs after eating onion pie. Souvenirs can be added or deleted according to personal preferences, and there are famous souvenirs in Yilan and Jiaoxi such as cake rolls, duck awards, tomatoes, gold date tea or sugar, and chili ice cream.
Refer to them yourself, and there are many souvenir shops across from Tangweigou Hot Spring Park. If you want to have a two-day trip in Jiaoxi, you can change the hot spring itinerary to another attraction and choose to stay in a hot spring hotel.
I think Jiaoxi’s one-day trip is suitable for light travel and couples to enhance their feelings. 🥰
