Work always feels like a never-ending chase with deadlines and meetings, right? When your schedule is packed so tight you can barely breathe, don’t you think it’s time to treat yourself a little?

On this trip to Hong Kong, I finally got the chance to stay at the super popular Rosewood Hong Kong. It felt amazing to switch gears—turning off my “work mode” for a while and stepping into the role of a “city traveler,” enjoying the Hong Kong city view and the beauty of the sunset.

Walking through the passage from K11 MUSEA into the Rosewood Hong Kong’s elevator lobby, you can instantly feel the stylish vibe of modern, understated luxury.

The whole hotel was designed by the famous designer Tony Chi, with the concept described online as a “residential-style mansion that feels like home,” and sometimes even as a “harbor estate.”

It’s a blend of British elegance with a touch of Hong Kong’s unique character.

Continuing the artistic vibe of K11 MUSEA, even the elevator lobby displays valuable art pieces.
The walls are detailed with decorative moldings that create a touch of vintage charm.

Rosewood Hong Kong opened in 2019.

It offers 413 rooms and is one of the flagship hotels of the Rosewood group worldwide.

In recent years, its list of awards has been quite impressive:

  • Forbes Five Stars, Rosewood Hong Kong and Asaya | FORBES TRAVEL GUIDE
  • MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau 2025, Michelin One Star, CHAAT & The Legacy House | MICHELIN GUIDE
  • 2025 Tatler Best in Class Asia – Hotel of the Year | TATLER ASIA
  • Best Hotel in Hong Kong, Runner Up | TRAVEL + LEISURE’S LUXURY AWARDS ASIA PACIFIC

You can find the full list of awards on the official website.

There are plenty more recognitions mentioned there.

It’s not only loved by travelers, but also by celebrities.

For example, BigBang’s G-Dragon once shared his stay on Instagram.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng have also stayed here, making it a top choice for stars visiting Hong Kong for events.

If you’re someone who enjoys the finer things in life—whether you’re here for work, travel, or simply to relax—this hotel definitely deserves a spot on your must-try stay list!

The Lobby: Where Fragrance Meets Elegance

The moment you step into the lobby, the fragrance instantly pulls you away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong.

The high ceilings, combined with wood and stone textures, create a calm and grounded atmosphere.

Unlike the grand and flashy lobbies of typical hotels, Rosewood Hong Kong’s lobby feels more like a fragrant art gallery.

Looking around, you’ll notice carefully curated artworks, from sculptures to paintings.

Instead of overwhelming you with vast open spaces like many five-star hotels, this lobby feels like a small gallery—refined but not showy, encouraging you to slow down and appreciate the details.

The elevator area continues the stone-patterned floor tiles from the lobby, paired with warm lighting that naturally makes you feel calm.

This whole section only includes the lobby, the front desk, the staircase leading upstairs, and the hallway connecting to the restaurants.

Although the space isn’t large, it truly captures the idea of “small but beautiful”.

It feels like stepping into the stylish and cozy entrance of a private home.

Getting There & Around

  • Bus: Get off at Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road) bus stop. About a 3-minute walk.
  • MTR: From East Tsim Sha Tsui Station or Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Exit J. About a 5-minute walk.
  • Taxi: You can use Uber (recommended), HKTaxi, or FeiDip.
  • Parking: Overnight parking fee is HKD 1,000. Valet parking service is available for an additional charge.

From K11 MUSEA, just walk next door and you’ll find Rosewood Hong Kong.

But keep in mind, the hotel actually has two lobbies.

The one closer to the street is for the serviced residences, and it’s easy to walk into the wrong one.

For regular hotel guests, you’ll need to go a bit further inside to reach the main lobby.

Kowloon Peak View Room

  • The room comes with: TV, spacious wardrobe with hangers, safe, paid minibar and bottled water, electric kettle, free Wi-Fi, slippers, Dyson hairdryer (depending on room type), capsule coffee machine

This time, I stayed in the “Kowloon Peak View Room”.

The large floor-to-ceiling windows open up to a full view of the Hong Kong cityscape.

The room’s color palette is mainly beige-gray and walnut wood.

By the window, there’s a cozy lounge chair perfect for reading, relaxing, or simply sipping tea while spacing out.

On the table, there were three bright red apples.

It honestly felt touching to see fresh fruit offered in Hong Kong.

But since no knife was provided, was I supposed to just bite straight into them?

I had no idea how to eat them, so in the end, the three apples proudly survived until checkout—sitting untouched on the table the whole time.

At the foot of the bed, there’s a cabinet with a paid minibar.

Inside, you’ll find capsule coffee, tea, alcohol, and snacks.

The confusing part is that the free and paid items are all mixed together, so it’s hard to tell which ones cost extra.

In the end, I didn’t touch any of them.

Exploring the room a little, I found a nice surprise.

Besides a Hong Kong photo book, there was also a cute picture book.

The room hides pieces of Hong Kong’s scenery in different creative ways.

If you have the time, it’s worth flipping through these works.

Most importantly, the bedside tables come with USB outlets for charging your phone, so no matter which side of the bed you sleep on, you’re covered.

No need to worry about waking up to a dead battery.

The mattress brand isn’t mentioned, but the pillows come with different options.

If you need a change, just call the front desk and they’ll swap one for you.

At the foot of the bed, there’s a British-style plaid sofa with a small tea table.

Whether you want to lounge while watching TV or sit and enjoy a show, it’s perfectly comfortable.

The TV can also be connected to your phone for screen casting.

Usually in overseas hotels, the TV ends up just being decoration because the channels are hard to understand.

But here, you don’t have to worry about that—although it did take me a little while to figure out the phone connection!

Still, being able to watch my favorite shows on a big screen felt great.

The TV’s speakers even extend to the bathroom.

So you can play a podcast on your phone and enjoy it while taking a bath—such a treat!

The most unbelievable part is that you get a huge walk-in closet (I only managed to snap one side).
Inside, you’ll find slippers and a safe.

Just one side of the wardrobe is already bigger than the one I have at home!

Soaking in a Five-Star Experience

  • Separate shower and toilet: O
  • Amenities: large and small towels, body wash and shampoo, body lotion, disposable toothbrush set, razor, shower cap, etc.

The bathroom is super spacious, with a separate shower and toilet.

The bathtub lets you enjoy a soak while looking out at the view through the window.

This bathroom, often featured by KOLs for photos, is filled with elegant marble patterns.

The mirrors and glass doors create a sense of depth and openness in the space.

The bathroom amenities are from Votary, a natural skincare brand from the UK.

These products are also sold at Rosewood Hong Kong’s own spa.

The lotion has a lovely jasmine scent that’s perfect for bedtime, and even my boyfriend said it smells really nice.

I tried to look online to see if I could buy it elsewhere, but it seems like this fragrance is exclusive to the hotel.

The sink area is very spacious, with plenty of lighting and a pull-out makeup mirror.

In the morning, natural sunlight pours in from the window, and with this mirror, it’s easy to put on makeup with just the right balance of colors.

The amenities are neatly and beautifully arranged, and there’s even a scale—such thoughtful details are truly impressive.

The most well-known feature is that the shower has showerheads on both sides.

So if you’re showering together, no more fighting over hot water!

Placed right in the middle of the shower, the bath products leave your skin feeling soft, not dry.

After a fragrant bath, it’s easy to drift off into a peaceful sleep.

European Breakfast and Egg Dishes Cooked to Order

Breakfast the next day is definitely a service you shouldn’t miss!

It’s served at the restaurant next to the lobby, with a menu leaning toward Western and European flavors.

The spread was full of bread, yogurt, cheese, bacon, and little pastries.

There was even some fried rice.

Personally, I’m more of a congee-and-egg-roll type of breakfast person, so I didn’t have much of an appetite for all the bread and cheese, haha.

On top of that, there was also a menu where you could order drinks and freshly cooked egg dishes from the staff.

I forgot to take a photo of the made-to-order scrambled eggs.

They arrived last, and I was so hungry that I ate them right away.

I was really happy with the fruit selection—it was incredibly abundant and satisfying.

To go with the scrambled eggs, I asked the staff for ketchup and got this adorable little bottle.

It was so cute that I honestly wanted to take it home. 🥰

Facilities and Guest Services

  • Services provided: 24-hour room service, public area Wi-Fi, tour booking, daily housekeeping, luggage storage, laundry service, taxi service, designated smoking area
  • Facilities: buffet breakfast, gym, swimming pool, Asaya Spa, paid meeting spaces, keycard-access elevators, several fine dining restaurants, bars, lifestyle boutique shops inside the hotel
  • Note: Services and facilities may change over time. Please confirm with the hotel directly for the most up-to-date information.

There’s a beautiful pool inside, but I didn’t go for a swim so I don’t have any photos of it.

Usually, hotel corridors aren’t worth taking pictures of.

But here, they’re decorated in a vintage library style, which makes them pretty photo-worthy.

On the cabinet, there’s even a book you can flip through.

Along the hallway, the room numbers are displayed like lanterns.

Some rooms also have a special cabinet for placing meal trays—so after ordering, the staff can deliver the food there without direct contact.

Perfect for introverts who prefer a little more privacy.

Places to Explore Around Here

  • Popular experience: K11 MUSEA (right downstairs), Hong Kong Museum of Art, Avenue of Stars (about a 5min walk), Star Ferry Pier (about a 10min walk), Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, 1881 Heritage

Located along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the area has limited dining options outside of the hotel’s own restaurants, and most places close fairly early.

If you’re craving a late-night snack, you’ll need to order through FoodPanda or buy something in advance from a convenience store.

Would I recommend “Rosewood Hong Kong“?

If you’re visiting Hong Kong and want to stay at a hotel that’s both luxurious and peaceful, Rosewood is absolutely the top choice.

From the lobby to the guest rooms, every detail feels beyond ordinary—truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

I highly recommend it for anyone looking to treat themselves, or for couples who want to spend an unforgettable night together.
